Blunt Arrow
What is the purpose of using the blunt arrow? I shot a blunt arrow at a wall near a guard and I got dinged 1 point for raising suspicion in the stats. So blunt arrows are not good for distracting guards while you ghost because they raise suspicion? I don't get what I'm suppose to be using blunt arrows for.

For interacting with the environment. Hitting buttons (to turn off lights) from a distance. Breaking vases to create noise. Shooting pulleys to lower ladders/bridges.

And you can use them as a distraction by dinging a few into a tile/panel floor, but not as effectively as breaking a vase or chunking a throwable. I miss noisemakers...

Those were the most useless junk in the series. A broadhead arrow on a hard surface had the same effect.

But a broadhead arrow was a weapon. If you ran out of those because you shot them all at the wall to cause a distraction, you'd be sol later on if you need a piercing arrow.

Since the broad arrow used as a distraction raises suspicion by 1 does that count against your Ghost rating?
Blunt arrows trigger things and take the place of noisemaker arrows. Come to think of it, Garrett wouldn't have needed a Broadhead at the Haunted Cathedral if he'd had blunt arrows then. Of course, he could also take his arrows (except elemental and noisemakers) back then too.
