Thief
Is there any reward for 100% collectibles?
Can I get any extra money, equipments, or bonus ability if I collect all series of collectibles in Thief?

Or is it just a chunk of text and graphic?

I really wonder whether or not there is fair value that I try to do this.

The developers are sending 200$ to everyone who manages to collect everything.

You get the sense of having wasted a lot of time accomplishing nothing.

You did however satisfy yourself and probably had some fun along the way.

Fair value? You shouldn't do it if you don't find it enjoyable.

Ah... okay. I was disappointed that there is no worth of collectibles...

Cause what I need right now is enough golds to upgrade my character but the collectible can not be utilized for nothing.

I've felt that I found a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ when I open a vault, and check the content is a collectible...

I deactivated all the cheaty glow options thingies and each time I find something it's a 'Aha!' moment, very satisfying. Some stuff are really well hidden, those developers are sadists! :)

wut.. no mate. I was serious. I didn't have any idea to make you annoying.

cause I've thought adventure game must contain a system which can show fine reward to player finished it, I can't enjoy much games like thief.

So that's why I said I envy you because you are a player who can enjoy collecting itself not for reward.

If you collect every single collectible (as in, all 84 of them), you get a Steam Achievement (What's Yours is Mine). Also, once you've completed Chapter 8 and have arrived back at the Clock Tower, you get a monetary reward for each completed set of Collectibles. However, if you complete a set AFTER completing the game, you get nothing except the satisfaction.

Even though this thread is over a year old, I thougt I should make a correction to the last post.

Sorry but, that's not entirely true. After completing the game (finish chapter 8), you wil still get bonuses for completing additional sets of collectables. Also, when you do finally complete all collectable sets, you will get a huge bonus.

I think you earn 30 000 when you collected everything. That's enough to buy the bonus that makes you invisible
