x360ce is a great tool. But here it doesnt work for me either. Maybe it has to do something with the xbox360 controller bug... :(

I am using windows 8.1 64 bit with usb joystick controller. if u r no working. try this one. first download lastest x360ce https://x360ce.googlecode.com/files/x360ce.App-2.1.2.191.zip. and then run it (32bit : Thief/Binaries/WIn32) or (64bit : Thief/Binaries/Win64). go options and check xinput9_1_0.dll. if you're on a 32-bit system, get the 32-bit library (x86 version) https://x360ce.googlecode.com/files/x360ce_lib32_r848_VS2010.zip.
if you're on a 64-bit system, get the 64-bit library (x64 version) https://x360ce.googlecode.com/files/x360ce_lib64_r848_VS2010.zip. unrar and copy and replace all files where installed x360ce(i.e 32bit : Thief/Binaries/WIn32 or 64bit : Thief/Binaries/Win64 ). now open x360ce.ini in notepad and UNDER "Allowonlyonecopy=1" write " Version=1" save and close the ini file. if u r using windows 8 or 8.1 rename xinput1_3.dll to xinput1_4.dll.

Now Working!!!!!!!!!!!!!

damn all this work to play a game....you can either use you 360 controller with a 12 dollar reciever of buy a microsoft pc controller...or buy a used one at gamestop for cheap...all this crazy to play a game...not my cup of teaa.

Not much help I realise, but the wired XBox 360 controller works flawlessly.

If you're OS is 64 bits architecture, you need to copy the dll in the 64 folder, \Binaries2\Win64, and need to use the 64 version of xbox360ce
