Can't find Side Quests...

This is probably just me being stupid, but I can't find any side quests anywhere. keep just getting markers for the main story

Go to the taverns. The one at the docks has some fat guy that wants some stuff. Basso gives a ton of quests in the other tavern near the old lady. At the back of some alley, Ector gives you more side quests. I didn't do any side quest until I finished the main story.

thanks for the help, um can i just go to them, or will bassos side quests lead me to them?

This game doesn't help you find your way around the world (at all). I'd hit the map and look for icons. Basso is a bird, the beggar queen is a rat, vendors are a bow and arrow, etc. The map isn't great, but I like exploring anyway.
