But what about that challenge of at once remaining undetected AND performing combat takedowns? Can it be done both in the same play thru?
Also, does anyone know how to do an aerial takedown? I was right above a guard and pressed the takedown button but nothing happened. I even enabled the interaction icons in the options menu, but there was no onscreen prompt to do an aerial takedown.
I usually reload once I've been detected or I run away. It takes way too long to take out a guard with the blackjack on Master difficulty with Focus disabled. By the time I've gotten a few hits in, there's usually two other guards there.
I'm tempted to start again with Focus enabled because that seems the only practical way to take out at least one guard in a decent amount of time. I haven't tried it yet.
- tried the choke arrows, they dont seem to help.
And no, you cannot Remain Undetected and do Combat Takedowns at the same time. It's either one or the other.
You can't remain undetected and do a combat take down in the same playthrough. you have to choose one or the other...
Thats why they let you replay the missions.
To do a combat takedown you have to actually be in combat with a gaurd which means you have been detected. Dodge his blows (V) and counter with the blackjack (R). After you hit him two or three times he will fall to his knees then you get the option to hold the takedown button (Q).
if you replay a mission at a later point (like not immediately), will it still overwrite your first playthrough of that mission?
