"The burger has more meat than poo in it" -- PC GAMER McDonalds review
Thief 3 has to be the most clunkly peice of dog sh*t to ever call itself a game
+1 I agree, its not an ugly game is only born unfortunate because of porting.
I liked it enough to play it, despite the hub of which I'm not an admirer I have to admit however that the thing that bothered me the most was the absence of the rope arrow and lack of verticality.
The game was just clunky to control, period. The sensitivity of the joystick/mouse would get cut in half if you tried to use it while moving.
The game was very much "move foward" and "turn" not ever both at the same time.
Its Resident Evil tank controls in a FPS, it was garbage design. Probably meant to hide an extreamly low FPS even relative to other console games of the time.
You sort of have to play it at 30 FPS because of the way the animations are animated at 30 and dont interpolate. In other words they are either in between frame 1 to 30 of an animation and never inbetween.
This creates really janky animations at high frame rates. This effects the view bobbing, which is tied to Garrets body, and therefor the whole camera becomes janky at high frame ratse.
The game was a technical disaster. Its not a wonder Ion Storm went belly up after this. Well deserved.
