where to get wire cutting tool,razor tool and wrench tool from
can someone tell me how to acquire these tools please. I got to chapter 5 then decided to start again thinking they may be found somewhere that I may have overlooked. doesn't appear to be the case but any help would be great

To get those tools, you have to visit the merchant in the Siren Rests pub in the South Quarter but they won't be available until after chapter 2. You could check the merchant at the Crippled Burrick but iirc, I don't think he has those particular items.

The crippled burrick merchant has the wrench in Chapter 1 ... as you need to be able to use it in Chapter 2. But the other two items any merchant will have it after Chapter 2.

Yeah. You're right. I couldn't recall for sure so I checked the Thief Wiki. I should know better than to trust that site.

cyberwiz I was surprised as you are normally an expert on everything in game. That we can totally rely on .... but we all can make mistakes. In my case I forget more than I remember.

It's been quite a while since I did a full playthrough so, yeah, I've forgotten some details that I used to take for granted. :) When I started to answer the op's question, my first thought was that they could be bought from either merchant but, just to verify, I went to the Wiki. It specifically stated that the tools could only be bought from the merchant at the Siren's Rest. Like I said, I don't know why I trusted their info, there's been so many other things that I've found to be wrong, and not just with Thief. So, my bad. And, my apologies to DaveMatthews. It won't happen again ... I hope. :D

Having now sourced said tools, I feel like a right muppet for having even asked the question. I completely missed that there were other transactions available with the merchant other than arrows/food......How? I do not know

The merchants have several headings for stuff you can buy. Trinkets, equipment and resources I gather that's what your referring to?
