Unless that monster can be found anywhere else in the game (not likely) you will have to start a new game to make an attempt to get a 100% bestiary. I know its a pain in the ass.

I feel for you. :(

I did this castle myself just today and with every other part of the game I am using an IGN guide and making sure that I am getting every chest/monster that is available in every area as soon as I can. That Lamia was a little bit of a pain to find too lol.

Do what I do....I keep the FF3 bestiary on wiki in the backround when I Alt+Tab. That way you won't miss any monster. Go to Gysahl regularly to check in on your bestiary list.
