Massively fond of my WHM tbh. Not quite up to the Devout job yet. Close though.

Damage wise it's all about the Dark Knight for me.
Geomancer was fun for a while.
MNK is crazy damage once you get into bare fist fighting.

And I'm currently grinding my THF in the Goblin Battle School to get up to job level 71 for that Odin steal. And loving it the longer I play it. Great job.

I always loved white mages most... Healing, protection and all. I know it's common sense that a white mage is useful but I always loved the class. The more efficient a white mage is, the happier I am.

Yeah the WHM analogy is a funny one for me.

I've just got bored of FFXI online after nearly 8 years of playing it.
And whilst I never actively played my WHM, it was level 99. And people used to like me using it back in the level 75 cap days.

On FFXI I loved loved loved RDM with a passion for the longest time.
Abyssea ruined that for me. And made me change to BST pretty much permanently.
Though I did enjoy using my THF for anything it was useful at.

To be honest, I didn't bother with jobs at the beginning. I leveled my freelancers, Ingus and Luneth, up until 99 and then gave them jobs. Luneth is a monk now and Ingus a black belt. I'm not really happy with them though. I liked the dragoon (Ingus was one for quite a while) because of the jump ability thingy but then I wanted to try the black belt so Ingus had to become one. So I guess the black belt has potential but I just hate having to level them up so they get stronger and actually useful.

Red Mage.

Red mage easliy, but Im biased beacuse that was my main in FFXI.

Still, come the final boss/crystal tower, my job lvl 99 red mage was doing the highest DPS of my entire party, and could also act a a backup/secondary healer to the devout, awsome.

and i didnt even need to grind much to get to 99 beacuse you have the basic jobs very early in the game, and they level up faster then the advanced jobs.

Dragoons. They always pulled through when I really needed them too.

I personally love Thief the most. When you get some levels and job levels he will start doing insane damage, and you find alot of daggers in the mid game with elemental stats on, such as thunder or wind damage, that just so happens to be very useful at those times.

The same could be said about warrior and swords, but those swords with elemental damage are found much earlier in the game, where they aren't exacly showing the awesome potential of elemental damage.

The thief will always have that place in my heart when it comes to this game.

Another job I really like is the Viking. It's probably the best job to have in your party when you have high job levels, and provoke hits almost every time. That Viking just laughs with his two shield when he gets hit for 0 damage.
