100% Bestiary?

Is this really necessary to anything in the game apart from the achievement?
Kinda kicking myself for missing Sahagin in the world ocean =\ Really not wanting to restart since... well yea until I have the time to do a full-full clear

100% bestiary completion unlocks the "??? Dungeon" in this version, so it just depends on whether or not you want to be able to access it this time through or not.

A shame if you did miss one, especially if it does unlock a bonus dungeon... =/

Argh!!!! Really??! That's so lame! I thought that the dungeon was unlocked through the letters.... Sigh... Looks like I'll have to restart....

There are no letters for unlocking things in this version, you only receive them from NPCs.. Bestiary % is what unlocks things.

@Senrei. Yeaaa I'm not sure what I was really thinking that it would've been unlocked via letters. Bleh, at least I caught it somewhat early? Getting to the invincible isn't too late, I suppose

Nope guys, only 81% is used to unlock the ??? donjon. (I went today). But I d like to find something to get THE missing mob I missed in one donjon which I can't go again... :(((((

That's not true! As Jeannou already said, you only need 81% of it.

Really?!?! That means that I'll be at 99% but it also means that I won't have to restart!

think you can get sahagin with the submarine, there is no mention that they are surface only, like the seadragon i missed :S

You can fight the seadragon underwater, what you cannot fight is the Sea Serpent. According to all the guides I've read, Sahagin is only discovered in the outer sea of the floating continent =(

Says Sahagin are found in Sea near Nepto Temple not outer sea

hey guys, I got 99% bestiary. I just miss the *** sea dragon. Should've killed it just before crushing Cid's boat, but I didn't notice. So I was wondering this: I create a new game, rush freaking fast and I kill that snake. Do I get the achievement? Anybody knows?

Hmm I swear I found the sea dragon underwater... I might've mis-read it as Sea Serpent when I was tired. With regards to Sahagin, my boats only fly now, how might I even encounter? (Maybe I'm overlooking soemthing)
@Tantalus, I am about ~75% sure that you'll have to get the full 100% Bestiary which really sucks because I'm on the same boat but with the Sahagin.
@Mara, I wish I knew the answer but to my knowledge, there isn't.
