Mods for FF3

I am curious on what the mod situation might look like for FF3. With the PC port of FF7, we had a lot of flexibility. FF8 for PC left us being able to mod only a few items.

Hmmm, i am very dissapointed in these Square Enix ports, i didnt expect much from an android port but i expected a little bit more than this,

I've never modded a final fantasy before, but im familiar with programming and willing to give it a bash, hopefully some sort of community springs into action to fix these lazy ports

Fonts
They seem to be pretty easy to replace. Just copy the current font files somewhere to back them up (if you'd like) and place the new ones in the base folder and rename them to match the old files. May need to kind of tweak the fonts before hand, but the game let's you replace them simply enough.

Music / Sound Effects
These are pretty basic .ogg files. I was kind of disappointed to see that you can't play with the NES soundtrack, but this might be pretty easy to fix as well.

My Dream Mod
Smaller battle hud so you don't need to scroll. But I have no idea how to approach this. :(

Would it be possible to add a language through modding? I'm originally from Japan so I would rather play games in Japanese whenever I have the option. Why do they even bother removing the original language it's made in... especially on PC. Seriously.

...unless this PC Steam version never came out in Japan. Then that would make sense.

Someone would deserve the steam version of knighthood for texture packs for 3/4.

I would love to see a mod to smooth out the pixels during game play. The game could have been polished better initially. However, it's the same game that I loved on the Nintendo DS. A few mods would be nice to see just for the fun of it.

old thread i know. was just hoping there was a mod the would make the remove the zooming and just make all shiny spots be visible and interactable by default. anyone know?

Ooh, mods would be neat! I'd love a boss rush, or an easy/hard mode. The game is already beautiful, though. The graphics are not the most polished, but they're nostalgic from having played it on DS as a kid. A mod that polishes them could be cool, if done well.
