Help Cid sidequest

I have done everything needed and recieve the mail ''something in the basement'' but even after i talked to cid, the passage to the basement dosn't open... I can see the stairs but I cant go through the wall. Help

I think this passage was opened earlier in the game from the beginning, I don't remember but it was Cid who opened it after you give his wife an elixir
if his wife is in bed give her the elixir if not maybe the game is not designed to let you in if you did not give her the elixir before

I did give his wife the elexir, she is standing next to him...

Hi DatZaik, Have you opened the door to Eureka yet? Try that and change character formation then talk with the Mail Mog again and see if you get anything else.

Yes I did, I am supose to go kill xandes in the story but i want to be full geard up. I also tried to talk with Mongel with all the charatcers but nothing change...

After helping cid’s wife you must interact with 1 candle next to him to open the secret stairs

Oh my god tank you so much, the candle was the step I was missing. I was so afraid that the game was broken but im just dumb haha

Sometimes you need to scroll in up close to see the sparkles so you know an object is interactable.
