In fact, this new UI they added to the steam version of the game, is much closer to the original DS UI.
I know this update broke the game a bit, and I agree, but I’m just not sure what’s the point of bending reality.
These are the facts:
1- This game was first released on the DS, and it was then ported to Mobile with a touch-friendly interface.
2- The original Steam version of the game was directly based on the Mobile re-release (while also ironically removing any sort of mouse or touch compatibility).
3- The recent update reworks the user interface to look more like the DS/PSP versions of the game (while ironically adding mouse support).
It sucks that they made a few errors here and there. But i am sure they will patch it up and fix it. I am just glad they are fixing the UI to look better for a PC
Though I do find it odd how Square Enix decided to specifically port the mobile versions of so many of their games and took the time to remove any and all support for touch screens.
It’s like... Have this interface designed to be used with a touch screen, but please don’t touch your screen, that won’t work!
but were on PC now... also the DS version specifically had a second screen for spells instead of throwing up on the whole screen every time you wanted to use it... im just glad someone mad a mod to fix that.
It also did not have the same big buttons and huge menus as the mobile version. That has been unique to the mobile and the old steam versions of the game.
