Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Edition Coming To Steam!

Today Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy 30th Anniversary Edition is coming to Steam. It will include the same 3D treatment that Final Fantasy III & IV have already received, along with the bonus dungeons from the GBA & PSP versions and an entirely new bonus dungeon called the "Chamber Of Souls."

The link doesn't mention a game called "Final Fantasy 30th anniversary edition", It seems to be just an event with this name.

Not sure when the article in the first link was written, but the second one was in December 2016. It's apparently scheduled to come out in 2017 - which already doesn't seem possible, never mind coming out with all this wonderful stuff included but with absolutely no announcements from SE itself or any sign of it on their webpage. Apparently just a rumor that we're all hearing about a year late, after it was already supposed to have happened but didn't. There was also a rumor that two months ago we were all going to die when Planet X crashed into us, so maybe people got confused and the release of the Anniversary Collection only happened on Planet X, not on Earth for the rest of us to enjoy.

Since this will no doubt be like the PSP version in the PPSSPP emulator (which believe it or not, DOES look great), I suspect this port will be nice looking but super lazily ported (little work done). Hopefully this means the other anniversary game in the duo: Final Fantasy II Anniversary, also comes out sooner than later. I beat if they wanted BOTH could come out at the same time, just as they both released together on PSP all those years ago.

By 'bumb' he probably means 'bum', which is a american term used throughout the 20th century to refer the homeless and lazy people. When I was a kid people used it alot, but you dont hear that term anymore - probably due to todays PC culture.

The 30th Anniversary Collection IS Final Fantasy I and II - the PSP 20th Anniversary ports to be exact, repackaged.
