Nah, I honestly thought you were seriously weighing looks over use. Either way, gotta admit using white magic with them is so much better than as a white mage when you get up to speed.

Ohhh, I misread the tone of your comment. Dear God, yes, they're way better than a white mage. I had one for the last several hours of the game, that's why I kept seeing it in the battle and going, "come on."

I personally can't really understand the approach to the design for Devouts either. They look so... immature, and in the NES version, the Devouts cried when they went into their "Injured state." Their magic makes up for it with healing, and Sages are a bit too underpowered for me when it comes to healing, since my team around that point usually consists of a Ninja, Black Belt, Magnus and Devout.

Because they did that 27 years ago on the NES too, way before furry was even a thing.
