How Does Magic Work?
I just started this game (and I love it so much, already). I unlocked the black mage class, and I was testing out the spells. When I casted a spell, I saw a number off to the side of the spell selection go from 6, to 5.

Does this mean that once it runs out, I have to purchase it again? Thanks.

The way magic works in 3 is that each lv of spells has its own MP. So what you saw was the mp for a spell drop by 1,when that hits 0 you need to either rest at an inn or use an ether to restore it or you can't cast any more spells of that lv.

Spells you only purchase once or for some summons you need to fight the creature first to learn it.

Or find the shops in the mini dungeon in the end-game dungeon for said summons. XD
