Theif Steal skill removed?

I cannot find the theifs steal skills in the shops. I've tried leveling the offense shop to lvl 5 on Temple of the sun and it's gone. Wiki says its there, EVERYthing says its there i can't find it. Help?

I noticed this never has been replied to so ill suggest what you can do, to prevent losing items and skills out of your favorite games. Wont work for online games. Go into your steam game install directory and copy the game folder to another location outside of steam. Now shoukd the game get patched, you can run that backup and stilll retain the skill or item. It doesnt matter if a games 6 years old. The developer can decide after doing nothing for several years to patch a game and remove contents.. I learned this the hard way doing 17 quests in crashlamds which was over 40 hours to get a device that rerolls stats. It got removed sever months ago and got replaced by a stuffed pet.

This is a new game that has been started in the last week. its not a matter of it being super old. there should be a steal skill ingame unless it's been specifically removed for multiplayer.

There are ways to get older versions off steam or other places. If it was removed, if you didnt back the game itself up, and if you dont mind playing an older game without newer featurss but want the thief skill, then revert back to the game version you know had the skill and play that. I own this game, but never really taken the time to play it. If multiplayer requires you to log into the companies server instead of running it from your own pc, you will then have issues as most corporate run servers wont let a player to run older versions and wont let you connect till you upgrade. There is one other thing you might want to look into, and that is if anyone playing multiplayer still has the thief skill grandfathered in. If so, make your character with old game single player, then once you get all the skills and items you want, upgrade the game to newest version and your character should have carried over the stats from the older game.

As weird as it might sound, steal skill should be in defense not offense,
long time I haven't played tho

Same here. Never played the theif skill either. If skill is against a monster or npc, Id say possibly defense. But if against another player like back in the days of Ultima Online, then definately Offense. Taking one key item disabled a mage or fighter.
