Heretic on Mac?

Any information out there if anyone knows what the chances of Steam putting Heretic available to play on the Mac platform? -I know virtually nothing of coding, so I have no idea if this is even possible...but I've recently developed a hankering to pickup the old game I used to play in my high school years. Any info on this would be most welcomed please.
