Report a translation problem
1. Drag the desired wads/mods into GZDoom, and start the game as normal. Simple as f**k! Problem is, the game won't open through Steam, so you're unable to access the Steam Overlay, and your playtime will not be tracked. If that doesn't bother you, then you can do it that way q:
2. Go into your Heretic (or Hexen) base folder, and look for a file called "gzdoom-YourUsernameHere" (should be a .cfg file), then look for the following line:
"# WAD files to always load. These are loaded after the IWAD but before
# any files added with -file. Place each file on its own line, preceded
# by Path=
[Global.Autoload]"
Underneath the [Global.Autoload], insert the path to your mod. I'll use one of mine as an example:
[Global.Autoload]
path=C:\WadMods\HerHexMisc\ketchuptest4.pk3
This will make it so, when you start the game, the selected items will automatically be loaded. The wad/mod does NOT need to be in your base folder. I, personally, put my wads and mods in a completely separate folder, that's how I stay organized q:
