Demo now available!
Here is a demo of the 1.0 version[arcengeneral.s3.amazonaws.com] of the game for all three operating systems in one zip file. Simply unzip this on your platform of choice and run either Bionic.exe (Windows), Bionic.app (OSX), or Bionic.x86 (Linux). The demo does not include the music, and only allows you to play the first 3 days of any campaign. But you can experiment with the various exos, difficulty levels, pilots, and so forth as much as you like in as many (partial) campaigns as you like. Any savegames made in the demo can be moved into the RuntimeData/Save folder inside an installation of the full game and will let you continue right where you left off. Alternatively, there are Let's Play videos by lots of people all over youtube and twitch.tv!

Hello,
I have a little question, are you guys at arcen games real persons or experimental A.I.'s? You release games at a disturbing pace. Like 3 or 4 this year? Thanks for the demo.

Have nice day.

Demo convinced me to get this. Thanks!

A smile appears in my face everytime I see indie devs such as Arcen putting demos for their games. Thank you!

Arcen continues to be one of my fav indie devs. Ya'll's games are incredible bundles of joy. :) thanks for letting us try this one before deciding on buying it or not!

Thanks for putting up the demo guys. :D

So many companies don't offer the option of even a severely limited demo, and I end up passing on their game(s) because I just don't care to take a chance on the unknown (despite the fact that I was prepared to buy Bionic Dues outright, having played most of Arcen's games :D).

But after playing 3 turns in one campaign, I was convinced. :Db This is pretty much the exact same experience I had with Kerbal Space Program, too...played the demo for just long enough to realize how much fun I was going to have, bought it, then put in like 90 hours inside of a couple weeks, LOL.

I think this is probably going to be my favorite Arcen game, actually, since I sorta fail at strategy (despite the fact that I play Arcen's games..lol) and the more tactical/roguelike approach appeals to me.

Very glad to hear you're enjoying it :)

Demo won't work for me. After launching Bionic.exe the game hangs on the gameinit screen and then either crashes or stays there until I end the process. I also noticed that even though I see the gameinit screen in fullscreen It's as though it's not actually there and I can click on my desktop icons or inside the Bionic folder.

I don't have enable hardware assisted virtualization as an option to uncheck. I also dont get any error message when it crashes.

Edit: actually hang on just updated apparently I'm a version behind let me restart and try again.

Edit 2: okay weird it works now after updating avast but I didn't need to uncheck enable hardware assisted virtualization.

Thanks for a demo, but I have an issue that I didn't find mentioned: when starting the exe, there is a black screen with a blinking cursor in the middle. Nothing else. I'm able to write stuff via the cursor, though. But supposedly not what's the game about ;)

Alright after playing the demo I have to say that was great fun. definitely picking this up.

Got the same issue as fadenpendler. I do not use Avast, even disabled my antivirus just to check. Won't buy when I can't be sure it really runs, lol...

P.S. There was a file in the dir mentioning hardware specs: "Screen resolution at least 720px high, and 1024px wide". So, is it correct that this game won't run with my 1600x900 resolution?
