Might & Magic X - Legacy

Might & Magic X - Legacy

I am Soooooo happy about this game.
I played the hell out of the 7th and 8th might and magic. I loved them. Put so many hours into them. I have wished another one would be realeased for so long. Just one think though. I wish it wasnt grid based. Being able to fly in the other two was a lot of fun. Keep up the good work!!

I could not get into the free movement of might and magic 8 and I am sure I am not the only player that feels that way. My favorites were the old Might and Magic grid based titles as well as the Bard's Tale series. It sounds like they are using the same grid based design as those titles with improved graphics with Might and Magic X. I can't wait to play this game.

I'm happy too that they're making this game! However, unlike you, I'm really looking forward to the grid-based movement. My MM experience is mainly with 1-5, so using some of the legacy mechanics of classic RPGs is right up my alley.

The good thing for you is that there are gobs of games with free roam movement that are available right now.

strategy in the free roam games devolved into getting every character w/ ranged weapons of some sort - and kiting everybody... it got real old, real quick

well there was actually some kind of flying in the old two. you had to cast a spell that made you light as air and you where able to walk on clouds. and wait 'til they add the teleport/jump spell...

A good game with free roam / turn based combat would be ROA: blades of destiny, if it were playable. I didn't dare to buy it yet, anyway.
