Mysterious dwarf in Owl Cave

After completing my Bloodcaller (Shaman) promotion quest in the Owl Cave, I discovered a Mysterious dwarf hidden inside a red room of the "spirit world." He says something enigmatic about the future but, I was thinking, this must be an Easter Egg or something because he does not appear to be a part of the current storyline. Another dwarf, in the "real world", mentions something about owls being good spirit guides but I'm not sure if it was the "same" (but, possibly, a future version?) dwarf. Does anyone know the meaning of this?

ps. I have heard of a "Twin Peaks" reference too but never watched that series.

The red curtains, the statues, the dwarf, and the quote are all a Twin Peaks easter egg. I love this kind of stuff, wish there was more of it in this game.
