BTW when I say left or right I'm referring to the direction as if you just entered the room standing on the stairs. This is different than the N/S facing you have looking at the map.
Hope that helps - a little confusing language, but the main key is getting to the middle, having the piece move away from you, then coming at it from the other side.
Thnx nice explanation id just like to add to anyone who encounters the same problem the reset switch in case you make a mistake is the pedestal right at the end of the stairs(didnt realize that untill later)
Walk to the middle of the 3 pillars.
Use MIDDLE pillar to point streams directly into the fountain.
Use LEFT pillar to make the streams the largest of the 3 settings.
Use RIGHT pillar to cycle through colors.
If that didn't work then cycle colors on each stream size. It at least takes it down from 27 combinations to 9 :\. That should be it though.
