Similar to Might and Magic 7 and 8? Do you use a trainer or is there an xp bar?
Oh yeah, I meant as in, Level 1-->2
Do you use a trainer or is it an automatic levleling system when you reach a certain amount of xp?
Yes - sadly.. there is about 20 hours worth of content in this game if you play quickly.. 30 - maybe 40 if you play really slow on warrior with replays.
It's not a huge world, nor is it a deep story. The leveling system is very similar to older series where you level up skill points, then see a trainer to increase your rank (novice, expert, master, grandmaster) which then lets you put more skillpoints in the skill. You still have an xp bar for levels - so you get xp, lvl up, which gives 4 skill & attribute points per level.
There are only a handful of useful skills, so party selection on Warrior is fairly limited - you can pick the others, but they feel gimped at the moment - such as ranged (Very little use for it in the game over melee)
Race/Class selection is limited.. So that's a little weak for an rpg in my opinion.. Each race gets 3 classes to pick from and there are only four races. No alignment selections (Good, Evil, ) - so it feels very watered down to what it's trying to live up to.

i got 42 hours in the game so far and i havent done everything yet.
Is that 42 hours since full release or including early access gameplay?
That's good to know, I was afraid it didn't have much play time.
Can you describe some of the locations other than dungeons that you've come across? I'm interested in learning about some of the different types of places there are to explore.
As for dungeons, I'm 20ish hours in and getting close to the end of Act 2 so I'm not 100% on the total number. But glancing at the game files makes it look like there are roughly 24 dungeons. Some of the them are quite large, and they're visually distinct, and contain lots of secret passages.
There are also a handful of small crypts and caves that generally contain a puzzle or a very hard encounter (like the dragon or cyclops).
Are you really this entitled that 20-40 hours isn't worth a 25$ purchase? Or are you just incredibly stupid?
Price is not the issue. Legacy is certainly a bargain if you like this kind of games. But I never once felt the epic scale of MMVI, with hundreds of skeletons / goblings chasing you.
