Low, Med, High, Very High Texture quality
Is there even a difference ? the very hight texture quality looks pretty bad and dated. I turned up all graphical settings to its highest, but it seems rough. I just want to confirm that this is actually by design rather than a glitch in which my settings are stuck in low.

I followed the sticky about texture quality from NOX.

When you start the game go to the main options and change the medium texture setting to max.

If you try changing it via the ingame options it isn't working.
Game looks great otherwise on max settings on a 2560 x 1440 screen.

I wouldn't say this game looks great at all..I would say..this game looks mediocre..or ok.

For what it is it works fine (unless you are having engine problems like myself..FPS issues)... but still..they aren't "good" graphics.

game look's horrendous, take a look at the "shadow dragon" just an example.

the graphic's are badly executed so they will require more resource's from the pc than it would if written correctly.

dont forget the endlessly buggy sound that they never even attempted to fix since they only cared for quick release without fix... the game could probably have been released for smartphone's if it was created by a talented indie developer rather than the crew who made this...

it lagg like hell now, even in lowest settings, i can't imagine how they make better graphics.
Even in what I am now calling "Safe Mode," the horrible crappy settings we are stuck with as 32 bit windows users, it is laggy and crashy. Very, very crashy. :(

This game is ugly whatever way you look at it. I know old school means it's supposed to look dated but that's still no excuse for this eye torturing display. I've got everything maxed out and the game runs fine but the only thing that looks half decent is the grass. It's like there is some weird graphic layering going on that just doesn't work. Some of the secenery looks ok and other stuff in the same screen really poor and when you encounter the creatures (while you can still recognise them from previous games) they just look like a blurry horrible mess.

Legend of Grimrock is lighter, faster and prettier. Devs should improve game.
