I had the same problem when i played the game the first time so u ve two options :the first look in all shops and chests for potions to upgrade vitality by drinking them which means all potions to one character
the second option is the better one restart whole game and skill one character at the minimum of last named number..of his vitality points
and yes there are enchanted items but they are seldom and are generated according to a random principle so if u choose this option good luck..
What I did with sewer key was buying an item with +vitality for around 15k. The shops stockes gets rerolled after some time.
Later in game I MUST spend some points into vitality, to have 200 (rather 300) hp. I wouldn't spoil, but the filnal battle (of act 4) will be very very very hard without such an investment.
But in the beginning and until the end of act 3 it's not that needed. I didn't spend a single point into vitality because I was doing uplay achievement, where I am not supposed to die ever. That's possible and it's actually very easy tactic (assuming you are playing hardest difficulty) to invest into dps stat.
My tactic was: 10 first levels into spirit, 10 next into magic, 10 to vitality (you must) and the rest into destiny (you want MORE crits on tought enemies). It worked well. I don't have to use potions much.
