Cannot play through Geforce Now. Asking for CD Key

When the game is launched through Geforce Now, it asks you to log in to Ubisoft Connect and provide the CD Key. Once this is done, it gives an error "this key is already tied to your account" error message, then closes out the game. Ubisoft Support please help.

None at all. Ubisoft is silent, and I got conflicting answers from Geforce customer service. Yes it should work, Ubisoft problem, no it won't work, needs to be bought directly from Ubisoft. I gave up.
