Might & Magic X alternatives with turn-based combat
Hi everyone,
are there any (modern/recent) alternatives to Might & Magic X that also have turn-based combat and grid-based movement?

I liked "Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2" a lot, but they're not turn-based. I was looking into "Vaporum" and "Heroes of the Monkey Tavern", but it seems that they're also not turn-based.

Side question: Is it possible to play "Might & Magic X" here on steam without installing Uplay?

@TotalBarracuda:

I know these. That's why I mentioned them. Thanks anyway :)

@Fendelphi:

I preordered "Bards Tale 4" a couple of weeks ago. Great suggestion indeed.

@weasel.wizard:

"Star Crawler" is on my Maybe-List and I will probably try to play through Bards Tale 1-3 before 4 is out in a few days.

"The Fall of the Dungeon Guardians" is on my wishlist too.

Thanks for these tips! I did not know "Ruzar" or "Dungeon Kingdom":

A little late to the party here. Some other turn-based party dungeon-crawlers out there on Steam: Wizardry 6-8, Grimoire: Heralds of the Winged Exemplar, Operation Abyss/Operation Babel, Swords and Sorcery: Underworld, Elminage Gothic/Elminage Original, Stranger of Sword City.

Is one of them newer then 10 years? Honestly asking. No time to check.

No problem, sure. All of these are newer except Wizardry, some of them are new remakes. Grimoire is older style. Probably want to avoid Wizardry and Grimoire if that's important to you.

Stranger of Sword City has a new-ish feel to me. Operation Abyss New Tokyo is a remake of an older game, but it doesn't feel dated at all. Haven't played Operation Babel, but it's likely more of the same from Abyss. Swords and Sorcery: Underworld was made within the last 5 years I believe.

lords of xulima comes really close but I thought it was superior in every aspect beside riddles. Though the world traveling is isometric but still same concept

If you don't mind anime, Labyrinth of refrain is my favorite DRPG this year.
