So, did you get it?
Yes, and it work no problem.
Yes it is worth purchasing MM X just to get it since it does work fine under Steam with current Winindows 7 and Windows 10 OS with 64 bit (it least it did so for me under Steam with each of those OS). I tried MM games on GOG but had problems running on Windows 10, 64 bit. I believe if a venue sells a game at all then it should work with main, current OS as dellvered, as a fundamental responsibility of the seller. Perhaps an unwillingness to take that necessary responsibility is why MM7, etc. are not available on Steam.
MM X isn't a bad game either even if it was a rather misguided attempt to revitalize the series (going back to MM 4 and ignoring the greatness of MM 6-8). Even though missing free movement and flying it contains the Expert, Master, Gramdmaster progression with each much more powerful than the previous.. MM X is limited, because experience in the game is capped and you only have time to partially develop your characters who never reach their full potential before the game ends, but what is there is pretty good, worth purchasing even if it did not come with MM 6.
The deluxe version is preferable because and only because it comes with MM 6.
