Edit: To be less confusingly worded.
But even with - why is "counter attack" on a different button than "attack"?
I was getting some serious Hollow Knight vibes, a game I've never finished. I think I have at most a couple hours in and then I lost interest.
I mean, the controls for mouse and keyboard absolutely do suck, but the game supports rebinding game actions out of the box. The OP is absolutely correct that the initial settings for things like attack and dash are bonkers, but I rebound attack to left click and dash to thumb button, and the game feels actually pretty good now.
