First off I'm really lucky to have had access to this beta.
This Tekken CNT has been a blast getting to play around with the new additions like the heat system that is welcome to the game which makes it more fun imo now that it is a bar instead of being tied to rage bar when low HP.
The graphics for this game are amazing the characters look absolutely stunning compared to T7 especially jun.
The character special intros before fights make it really special and awesome to see being a fan of the series since T3.
Gameplay wise besides Heat and the new moves and removal of some old gimmicks like shoulder bashing while running or wall bounce not much changed from T7 besides small tweaks here and there and them adding chip dmg which is very controversial right now but this is besides the point its a network test according to Harada not a Beta thus subject to change.
all in all a very fun experience besides the disconnects i got trying to find a game sometimes idk if its due to my internet or the servers being at early stages hopefully fixed before release if so because this might be my favourite fighting game atm and cant have had enough of it having played 20hours!

i love the beta already excited for the full game BUT some combos on bryan dont work anymore like it did on tekken 7 which is sad

2023/2024 are the years of fighting games baby

Even though I only put some little time in online matches, you can tell right away that Tekken 8 is pretty much an all-around improvement from Tekken 7. The game is much less reliant on knowledge checks and the guessing games that make Tekken 7 so frustrating to learn. The closed beta is a good sign of things to come, and there's never been a more exciting time to be a fighting game fan.

This is only a network test, not even close to release, not a beta and it's already solid.
Balancing is irrelevant right now. it's wack and will change (for better hopefully).
The game's foundation is really good and netcode is an improvement from T7.
