Driver
The three best shot types are all with the driver. You really need these. Stinger...Power drive adds 30 yards...Driver off the deck...even though you won't use the last one much.

I agree

And in order to not hijack the original intent of this discussion, I would also recommend the flop shot and the super flop shot if you are having trouble with the chip and pitch shots. I hardly ever use the chip or pitch shots anymore.

The flop and super flop are great for getting out of the rough right next to the green, since chipping out of the rough is about as reliable as a cheap Chinese stapler. They're also great for popping the ball over a bunker onto the green, which can be nerve-wracking trying to chip or pitch over.

I cant count the times I have won a match because opponent drives ball 50 yards from green, while I always leave mine at 80 to 100 yards out, trying to chip or pitch over all the crap they put on and around a green is maddening

This is so true. The problem is there is a gap in distance. No club that goes 50 to 70. To far for pitch and to close for approach shot. The shot should be chocked approach. My approach goes 110 down to 75. So you would think chocked approach would go somewhere 100 down to 55-60. But it goes only 104 max and 100 min. So you are stuck with a pitch that could stop on a dime or release 30 feet. Just seems chocked approach is completely useless.

spend 20 minutes in the approach training hitting spinners from 50 yards into different slopes. once you learn that it really doesn't matter how close you are to the green.

just shot -20 in the daily pro and hit so many of these for easy birdies
