It's bizarre to me how the more you play the game, the easier it becomes to not hit bad shots or make bad swings. It's only going to get worse each season with new club upgrades. Is that what they want? The game to feel like it's on rails and you can't miss?

The scores online are disgusting because it's not a level playing field. It's so hard to hit bad drives even though the pros do it all the time, you're always saved by some stupid fittings.

Ranked could be great if they went with tiered difficulties (par = pro, birdie = master etc), that way you at least get some penalty if playing between divisions.

MyPlayer max for online should be 90 and club-fittings shouldn't be a thing. I know that will never happen, so the game will continue to be an approach-shot shootout. Flops are too easy. You rarely have to get creative at all which is such a massive part of golf... all because it's so hard to miss the fairway.

I agree, it's already far too easy to hit perfect shots even playing on legend.
Instead of changing rhythm effecting distance, they should of kept it affecting the push/pull effect as it was in the previous games.
If they had done that along with the Evo Swing mechanic then it would be more of a challenge.

Yeah, but it's clear they have no interest other than ability to monetise things like fittings.

The game could be a great sim, but there is so much assistance it barely feels like you're playing at times.

On master+, all shot shaping should be entirely manual and it should be difficult.

Makes me wish perfect golf 2 was a thing.

The upcoming long flop also worries me. Maybe even better than the spinner.
What's ok is that you can't calculate everything exactly in the game. (e.g. rollout + 1-3 hills etc.)
Maybe we expect too much. It's a main stream game, "you have to accept that". I wouldn't have time for TGC Tour.

But what you can do is create online tournaments yourself, e.g. without any help.
If you find a good setting, you'll get a lot of players. But it's also difficult.
After you have created the tournament, you can also make a thread here in the forum with the name, etc., and the background, why. I could well imagine that some people would join in here. :)

Yeah I can see the game getting easier overtime even on Legend so I limit myself. I try to turn off as much helpers as possible, like the aiming arrow and vibration and the swing control. I currently play on legend at 1.59 difficulty. Also I don't use fittings, and when get to level 85 with my player I'll stop there.
get rid of the superflop for starters, so many so called top players too afraid to play a chip shot and you see them super flopping from the fringe, its a joke!

Yeah that's one way to do it, but ranked 1v1... you're at a massive disadvantage because they're all fitted out to the hills. How can you compete if someone is driving it 40+ yards past you?

It cannot be a good ranked experience with so many variables. Ranked should be totally separate to mycareer and you should require a new player. You earn xp for clubs and player but fittings don't matter and instead you choose a set archetype for your preference that isn't stacked out.

I avoid ranked or any online play like the plague, I'm strictly a solo/career guy. I just like playing real courses alone and eventually when I've reached a certain level I'll start career mode. Same way I did it with PGA23.

I do the same thing, Legend and all course conditions on Very High, except green speeds which I keep on Default for some variety.
