Swing Stick Only

Right, let me get this straight. I pay the same price but get half the game?

After being constantly bombarded with in-game adverts to play Ranked matches I find that I can't because I play with a mouse rather than a game pad. This would be unforgivable on its own but the fact that rewards and items are hidden behind this game mode means not only am I excluded from playing half the game I'm also unable to level things up or get items I might like.

Profoundly and utterly UNACCEPTABLE.

Firstly, I can understand the need to have separate 3-click players from mouse and stick users when it comes to online ranked modes but to exclude mouse entirely is just unacceptable. It's the same control system that is using a different input. It's not a different control system.

In one of the ranked modes there is an "open" category, which I presume allows any mode. There are two things wrong with this. Firstly, it's only Pro-Am difficulty which is so absurdly easy as to be utterly pointless playing. You may as well just watch someone else play. Secondly, it means that mouse and stick users are playing 3-clicks. It's completely pointless. In the other ranked mode I see no way to play anything other than with a peasant pad.

Had I known this this I would NOT have bought this game.

There should be a 3-click category for those that want to play that. A mode that probably shouldn't be in the game at all but I understand that there are golf fans with physical disabilities that prevent them using a mouse or peasant pad. Then there should be a stick and mouse category. Mouse should not be excluded in this fashion. It's appalling that this has been done.

I don't understand i play all the game with mouse and key and play swing not 3-click but if you are finding the game to easy clicking then i would say its time to play swing and not 3-click.

No you don't understand. Read what I wrote again. I thought perhaps I wasn't very clear but after re-reading what I wrote I'm not sure I could have been much clearer. Still, never mind. The point was that I don't play 3-click. Never have, never wanted to. The issue I was pointing out is that when you go to play it says SWING STICK ONLY.

However, I have since figured out that isn't what they mean. You can play with a mouse and keyboard. You don't need to use the stick. What they should say is "EVO Swing only" or "no 3-click" or "Excluding 3-click"because what they are trying to impart is that you are not permitted to use 3-click system and must use the Evo Swing system.

When you read "Swing Stick Only" the implication is that you can only use a game pad. Which is apparently not true but you will only find this out if you try to play it regardless of what it actually says.

there will never ever be anymore large franchise games that dont allow controller support.

its all about the benjamins and making something for the masses ---not about making cool fun games mostly designed for nerdy computer geekers. i blame minecraft and halo 1000000000000% .

Start using a controller little buddy, I was an only M/K player coming off of Tiger Woods 09, I hated using a controller but now I understand why it's needed for this game. Now I play Legend with almost all helpers off, like the aiming arrow...I play at a 1.59 difficulty with Fade Evo on a controller.

No. I play golf games with a mouse. I despise using a stick. Feels less like golf. I play legend with the mouse.

Anyway, if you read my second post it's irrelevant because you can use the mouse it's just that they have worded it incorrectly. It should say excluding 3-click or "Evo Swing Only" rather than "swing stick only"

Using the controller sticks feels way more realistic than sliding my mouse back and forth.

Unless you play shuffle board or air hockey golf? ;-)

But your right, the wording they use to state this is not very understandable.
