and "super flops" lol made up shot. a flop is a flop. there is no such thing as a thai spinner, or a spinner. they are both just chip/pitch shots that have spin, which the normal pitch shot should have, which is all done with loft and how the wedge is milled/ball type. why are pitch shots needlessly difficult and annoying to play?

It all comes down to "their" decision to include rhythm in the swing. When the difference between a couple hundreds of a second missed timing mark is between -10% and a +4% shots like a chip or a pitch are effected the most. In the game there are 3 basic swings.If you swing back fast and anything forward you will get in the range of -10%. Smooth back and smooth forward is around -4%. But if you always try to go really slow back and a smooth "pop" forward you usually get around 0 to +2%. Works out well most of the time. With flops missing timing mark usually just changes the "arc" higher or lower.

The pitch shots are massively inconsistent but I've found that having mastered the spinner, I use that all the time these days from about 40 yards out. The flop and super flop are almost hilariously effective and I hole out using one at least once a round.

Thai spinner and spinners are things. the thai spinner is dumb. its a trick shot people use to showboat. nobody actually uses it in competition, but the spinner is used all the time, and it's different from a pitch. a standard pitch shot is hit with "drawspin" even though it doesnt draw, it's just a feel. The "draw" feeling on release makes the ball roll out. A spinner is hit ONLY from a tight fairway lie and the club is not released. the ball is compressed by a strike with a high angle of attack causing it to bounce once on the green and stop immediately.

im glad the spinner is in the game, but it shouldnt work at all from any lie that isnt fairway or green.

flop shots pitch shots and chip shots are totally different in this game than 23 that being said you just got to learn the mechainics of how they work to play the shot. Remember the the game is static, it doesnt really change much to the conditions, its all built into the game and and you got to learn where its going to go during said conditions....good luck

If you're gonna play at a casual level, then it's going to be easy. Try with the settings I mentioned above without hand holding 3-click or distance control, and tell me how easy it is. I play at those levels and flop shots aren't easy at all compared to a pitch, sand or approach shot.
