Couldnt get it to start at all yesterday... then suddenly worked.
Played for a few hours no problem.
Just tried booting up 3 times and its crashed on start up twice and crashed when i got into the game.
I turned anything set on ultra down to high. Then I turned the TAA anti-aliasing down to low. and turned V-sync completely off, as well as turning contact shadows off. Aside from the lag I now get in the menus, due to the last patch, the game works perfectly now. I've played about sixteen 18 hole rounds since I made those changes, and the game has not crashed on me, even once. And I used to crash every couple of holes.
My specs are above the recommended, but I don't think that really matters, as this game is not as well optimized as it should be. So we just have to bite the bullet and turn some settings down or off. I think the two big changes that changed things were turning the anti-aliasing to low and the V-sync off. And I didn't sacrifice much as far as the visuals with the settings I have now. The game still looks really good.
Anyway, just throwing that out there.
Glenn
Hey everyone, for those of you still having crashing issues, the changes I made in my graphics settings may help you as well.
