What's the point in starting a new character?
I've been playing a technician character for a bit now. Got to level 38 and OVR at 88 so thought I would start a new character at powerhouse. I've played a couple of courses and I am playing absolute rubbish. My contact swing is always in the red so I hook or slice it badly every time. At first I thought it was my controller or I was just having a bad day so I thought I would test this out and went back to playing my technician character. My swings were either 2, 3 or 4 perfects so it mustn't have been my controller with the new character. I went back to new character and my bad swings came back.

What's the point in starting a new character if you will be going back to playing really bad golf until you level up enough again?

if you lvl up all archetypes to 85 it unlocks all the perks in skill tree

To challenge yourself with a completely different set of skills.
Remember this isn't just a simple Golf game, it has RPG elements in the way skills are governed.
It gives you the opportunity to play as a completely different character the way you can in RPG's.
Different Strengths and Weaknesses, even a different personality trait.

Also you should level up your first character to 90 before working on a new character. I believe you get 24 attribute points for free to use on additional characters.
and there some quest that to level up OVR for every archtype to get vc :yennefer:
Also each archetype unlocks a special skill at OVR 85. For Technician you've unlocked the pick bunker skill. For Powerhouse I believe you unlock power drive at 85, sculptor unlocks knockdown at 85 etc. Once you unlock that skill it can then be applied to all archetypes.
Seems to me that new golfer with default 2k golf bag has to exp that bag from scratch despite me already exped this 2k golf set on another golfer. This is just nuts... too much grinding, not enough reward.

I actually realised this seconds after posting about this but I was narked that I had to play super bad when starting a new character. I never played as bad with my first character. I then realised that was probably because the technician is high in the forgiveness stats. Powerhouse starts with powerful swings but with no forgiveness. I suppose I will have to add more power upgrades to my clubs so I can add more to contact in my stats

I think powerhouse is going to be difficult yo get used to.
Yeeees Powerhouse is definitely going to be difficult to get used to. Hopefully by next Christmas I will have sorted it.
+39 in my last 2 rounds

I thought the area around the sweetspot was the forgiveness area but I'm not too sure now. There was times I was just a trillimetre off both sweetspots and I sliced or hooked the ball almost at right angles

Same goes for 3 perfects and the only none perfect was contact area. There were times when I didn't get any perfects and it was a straight shot

3 My Career attempts before this would probably of been just as bad but I withdrew them and started again

I just wanted to see how bad it could be with my last My Career attempt so I finished the 2 rounds (I never do 4 rounds as its too much). Boy! What a chore it was

on pro level im all over the place.. +7 one round -2 another..but moslty above par--the punishment on mis hits are severe- enough to make you choke when you absolutley have to hit it straight. only going to make it trickier playing next char with a fade

True.
Its vc that I need to get my second better but because he is so bad I get very little.

Gonna use first character to get vc to max itself up and get my second character better
