A note about game balancing updates

Hey friends,

We want to make you aware of some changes we made coming out of Early Access. We first want to say that we appreciate and welcome all feedback, and hearing from the players is paramount to growing together. After the release of every game, we learn a lot, and this extended Early Access period has taught us so much about how our player base engages with our new and revamped features.

In response to early player data and feedback, we’ve adjusted Quests, rewards, and progression to improve competitive integrity and balance across the board. We also want rewards and achievements to feel meaningful and earned, and we think integrating some of the lessons Early Access has taught us will help us reach that goal.

We are also adding another upcoming double XP event soon and a Ranked Tours Weekly Quest to diversify the opportunities to accrue rewards for new players joining us tomorrow.

We'll continue to be responsive and monitor player behavior with the ultimate goal of creating the most enjoyable experience we can.

again.... 2k/HB wants to control every aspect of this game, from swing angle to shot types, to anything in between. they want you to play the way THEY want you to play, and that is not right

The Nerfs to VC, XP and increases to costs of other things is terribly unfair. As much as I enjoy a Golf Game, it's not something I can invest hundreds of hours a week into playing. I do have other games to play, and as a content creator that specialises in a couple of other games, things like 2k25 PGA Tour much like the now dead EA PGA Tour were something I might play for an hour or two once a week, then not touch for a couple of weeks, maybe even a month or two. The changes that 2K have made this week mean that for me levelling up and enjoying this game are very difficult. After sinking over £100 into buying the Legend Edition, I've had one fun week with the game, but I guess now my single player experience is over. I'm certainly not going to be buying any VC or spending anything additional on the game after my initial outlay.

You don't have to upgrade to have fun or do well in this game. So if you only play a few hours a week it's fine, you will still get the most important club fittings and the attribute points come fast also it seems.

I haven't played that much and I could get 4 first attributes on all shot types and lots of points left. I also got lots of fittings but haven't even used them yet. Just playing and enjoying the game not thinking too much about the fluff works just fine.

Actually, what they did was refund all the points for players that had allocated more than the 25 points that are allowed into a skill.

No skills or archetypes were nerfed.

Yes they 100% were nerfed.

Powerhouse was previously able to have 99 power with 50 contact on stats, now I can only cap my contact to 43. That's a nerf to an already suffering archetype. Extremely poor game design and even worse community management.

Wrong. You had too many points assigned. There was a glitch that has been patched.

A patch to correct unintended behavior is not a nerf.

Yesterday i could shape my shot to make the angle of the top and bottom be a little straighter.
Today i log on and shape my shot but the angle barely changes a milimeter or 2.

That sir is a shadow patch. And correction seems to do very little now too as i put some points in there to try and offset it, but i didnt notice anything.

Early access have a HUGE advantage now. All my friends have fully fitted clubs multiple maxed out characters.
People who bought launch day version are screwed in comparison.

Maybe you should make sure that your MyPLayer points have been properly re-allocated?

What has that got to do with anything? It was different from logging off last night to logging on today, with no changes to attributes.

They nerfed the correction angle badly and the attribute

The biggest problem with this game, and all the others ... they are too easy. The world record low score for 18 holes is -16, and it was done only once. E-golfers regularly post -20 and better rounds.

Still apparently players aren't satisfied. They want to be able to extract even lower rounds faster than ever before. Golf is more than plugging numbers into a formula and executing yet another perfect shot. It's an analog game in reality .. one a calculator and straight edge won't help people excel at.

I think it's hilarious. It's just a game guys. I'm sure there are far more important things happening than points in a computer game. Lighten up!!
