Players on ps5 disconnecting

I'll start out by saying that I play on PC and don't have any issues BUT my buddy that I play ranked 2s with gets disconnected from the online servers within the first two holes. This problem just started happening within the last couple of days. It does not matter if we are playing in quick play or ranked play. It has to be a 2k problem because he still stays connected to discord through his PlayStation and it doesn't happen in any other game.

Is anybody else having this problem or has anyone found a fix?

literally just had this happen to me in 3 consecutive ranked games. try checking for window updates or driver updates and resetting internet, if this doesnt work for me than it must be a 2k issue. I am in the process of doing all of these right now

We are all getting it. i play with xbox,pc, and PS players and we are all getting disconnected. servers cant handle the traffic i guess. 2k23 had a max player base of 1300 players just for steam a day. 2k25 has over 5000 on steam daily. so to guess with all XB,PC and PS there are well over 17000 players now. i have been complaining about disconnects since 21. they never fixed anything with no way to connect back from a disconnect, i have sent in over 50 tickets to deaf ears in the past 4 1/2 years. so guessing it will be the same all over again! its 2k23 all over again! https://youtu.be/bOiRGky69eE now 2k25 https://youtu.be/-itK_aFPR1Y

yep, can't play online, its a miracle if i get to the tee box, even after a tee shot, game kicks me or the other guy out. unbelievable

The game is constantly crashing for me on PC. It doesn't just drop me back to desktop. It actually reboots my computer. And I've verified files, turned off the steam controller input, the steam overlay, voice chat etc.. The only thing that really seems to help a bit, is setting the game as administrator, which seems to extend my play time a little bit, but it still crashes.

I sent a ticket to 2K support, specifically to ask them if they working on a patch for the stability issues. I felt like I just got brushed off. They never answered my question. They sent me a trouble shooting guide they put together in 2018 for their NBA game. Although now, they are calling it a general guide for 2K games. They want me to go through a whole bunch of hoops, liked replacing or repairing some windows files, like DirectX and vcredist files and sending some of my other files to them to look at such as DxDiag and MSinfo files. They even have a section on trouble shooting their Epic Games Store Launcher, which doesn't even exist anymore, as they have removed that from all PC games.

In other words, they are blaming it on my equipment and software setup, not on their game being fully optimized. It is their damn game that is the problem. If I can run other games, including Grey Zone Warfare (an early access game) which you need a hell of a computer to run on the settings that I have maxed out, because of the massive open world, and thick jungle vegetation without any problems at all, it should slice through this game like a hot knife through butter. Typical 2K though. They never did fix Max Payne 3 on PC.

I'll probably do some of it just to humor them, but I truly believe it is their game that is the problem.

I do not have any disconnects on PS5 (EU)
Sometimes the game would not launch after players found, but never disced during match.

I would say lots of people don't know anything about networking, they don't upgrade router firmware, they don't forward ports, they play on WiFi or some mobile crap and then complain. Try to check the reliability of your connection first, its 90% of the problems.
