Question for you 3 clickers...
Playing PGA Tour 2K23, and oddly it's the same in EA Sports, the chipping feels like a level faster on the meter to me. On Master, it feels like Legend difficulty when chipping or pitching.

Does it feel that way in 2K25? Have any of you noticed it being inconsistent?

If you want to play ranked, 3 click isnt an option.

If you have no desire to play ranked at all, I only played 3 click for about 20 minutes until I realized 3 click isnt an option for it so I can't help more than that, in which I'm sorry. 3 click on this felt brainless.

I'm 40 and haven't played a golf game since like 2006 to put that into some small sort of perspective.

I couldn't care less about ranked or any other form of online multiplayer play.

Well then if brainless gameplay that can be automated in about 30 seconds is your style, this is for you, which sounds like the case.
chipping has been improved heaps from 2k23 and is lots of fun
Pitch and Chip shots are completely busted in 2k25. Ball just rolls forever and you cannot control it with a different ball type like in 2k23.

I mean you hit a 5 meter chip shot... ball rolls another 10 meters
Pitch 30 meters? Sure lets give you another 15 meters or roll
But when you do a huge approach shot from 170 meters balls almost stops in place.

Sure this makes sense?

I suggest you unlock shots like Spinner/Flop/Pick to play have some accuracy and consistency

I have just started playing on Master Level and the circle speed has definitely increased for all shots. I have noticed the wind strength effect can be a bit variable too. A strong side wind can suddenly have no effect. Overall, the pitching and chipping has been OK for me.

I am just learning the flop and spinner shots. They can be fantastic, or not.

The thing that I have found is that if the ball is buried in the rough or sand (an 80% lie). If you try a chip or pitch shot you will hit the top of the ball and it will roll forever on the green. You can't hit under the ball when it's buried. You just have to adjust the distance accordingly. It's actually very realistic.
