What Difficulty to play!
I can't be the only person struggling!

In an attempt to "Get Good" I have set the career mode to the same as ranked online but even the career mode is now telling me to lower the difficulty.

What do people suggest? Continue and get used to it or drop difficult in career to improve stats and earn VC!

I am now at a point where I don't know what to do to get better and thinking it may even be how i distributed skill points etc.

Play on pro-am till you build your character up then change to pro. If you're still struggling with pro-am try using 3 click swing.

This is individual. Select the difficulty so you can have fun.
I play on the second lowest difficulty and the games against the AI are close and fun at the moment.

But I have no intentions to be online competitive in this game and will certainly never buy VCs.
In my opinion this is still a Video game and not some sport to train for.
If you want to play online competitively you're just going to have to "git gud" as they say. If you're not bothered about that, you can tailor the difficulty to whatever you like. Personally I play trueswing with the mouse. I don't like the swing bias offset, so I turn it off. I do like to be punished for a bad swing though, so I have swing difficulty set to legend. I have green grid turned on, but lie grid turned off. I have shot feedback turned on also. The AI is set to master. This gives me a decent challenge without being masochistic. Tailor it to suit your needs, there are options for pretty much every aspect of the games difficulty for you to tweak.

if your a golfer in real life and want the same kinda challange, legend default setting is the way to go.i started with and stuck to that level from the beginning, yes it was brutal, any where from +30 to +40,after many driving range sessions and rounds i started to understand the swing bias a little better, and as my player level progressed my score started coming down ,and in the last week ,after 200hrs of play ,i shot my first subpar round at -3. so i would say pick the level you want to play at from the get go and just enjoy the ride.you will get there at some point.and belive me even shooting even par at legend,im not even in the top 100 of players at this level.
Hey Insanity-RuleZ, with the new swing mechanics, I was having it too rough on Pro. Which I'm guessing you are playing on. I dropped to Pro-Am and was starting to get a handle on things, and then 2K upped the difficulty on all the levels and made the shot shaping just crazy to the point it was just too penalizing when applying spin and loft to your shot. So, I'm playing on Amateur, but with the AI set on Pro for Career Mode, which makes it competitive but not too frustrating, until I level up my player more. Then I will start on Pro-Am again and then eventually go to Pro.

I just got the game and set the first difficulty to pro. I won the first two tournaments, i shot a 56 xd. After that i set the difficulty to legendary and still it feels way too easy, like at pinehurst the lead only shot like -4 the first day. The game just feels way too easy? Are you guys changing some other setting also other than the difficulty cuz rn i dont feel like im getting any competition which is no fun at all :/

Not necessarily. :)
I have been playing the golf club for many years.
I only play career. Opponents are on pro.
I play without a green grid, without a preview and also without a wind gauge. Even without a shot indicator.
The only thing I can't do without is the scout camera, because I can read the wind direction and strength from the green flag. ( scout + LS )
I set everything to standard, wind speed average is standard in the career.
I only set the green speed to slow, because faster is too uncomfortable.
I vary the swing difficulty. I am currently at 1.61xp multiplier.
I like it to be very real. :)

Ultimately, it also depends on the controller how hard you can set the swing difficulty. That makes up at least 50% of how good you are. ( my belief)
