Controller stops working randomly mid round in demo

I doubt there will be an update but this is basically unplayable because my controller stops working every couple holes. I was enjoying it while it was working though

I have played with a Wolverine Ultimate controller for many hours and have never had the controller stop working.

Yep was bad already but the random update has made it even worse. Cant even get past 60 seconds into the game. PS5 controller.

Unplayable for me after that last update. Game crashes at times along with controller freezes.

I had two of these controller related freezes last night on my PC.
Once with my PlayStation DS5 controller. The other with a XBOX Elite S2.

FIXED IT - Well maybe. After doing this I have managed 18 holes and the controller (Wireless Xbox One) hasn't dropped yet whereas before doing this it dropped at best every hole or so. So here is what I think is the issue and how to fix it. I think the game is losing focus and then regaining focus but when it regains focus it no longer has access to the controller it gets confused as the controller wasn't shut down and now doesn't know what to do. The reason it doesn't have access to the controller anymore is because Steam has taken its input for itself. HOW TO FIX IT. Right click on your game and go to "Properties" then "Controller". Select "Disable Steam Input" from the drop down menu for "Override for PGA TOUR 2K25 First look". Hope this works for you all too.

Latest patch has fixed it for me. 6 x 9 holes now without a single drop. I still have this procedure in effect. Right click on your game and go to "Properties" then "Controller". Select "Disable Steam Input" from the drop down menu for "Override for PGA TOUR 2K25 First look".

You can add me to the list as well, Xbox 360 and PS4 controllers. Worked fine until the last patch, now can;t make it through 9 holes without a restart... Not looking great for a good launch.

Same problem here. Legion go - controllers randomly stops working + unable to touch anything ingame even with a mouse after that... (force quit via task mgr is the only option)

I'm in this boat. Incredibly disappointed I can't spend money on this...
Trying to play on SCUF controller and it keeps trying to kick me back into mouse and keyboard. I already "Disable Steam Input" on controller within Steam, seemed like it was working for half a hole, then I went into "settings", then "controls" and made sure it was for XBOX controller on the aim type...soon as I scrolled over the "mouse settings" it kicked me back into keyboard and mouse. Incredibly broken.
