Demo is impressive
You knew they weren't going to release a demo unless the game had serious improvements. Very unusual for 2K.

I agree. I was surprised.
yep, really really solid. I cant see much to complain about, ball rolls a bit better and has a more realistic initial bounce, perhaps very fractionally too bouncy but its way better. fringes still fractionally too sticky but nothing too bad.

Happy with it visually and sound wise, commentary seems good. Im using a higher end pc (4090 etc) so max settings is fine but im disappointed to see TAA being the main Anti aliasing solution, DLSS and FSR are options but its clear they are using very outdated versions of that tech, DLSS is very soft and there is no option for DLAA which would be a significant improvement. FSR still being 1.0 is pretty ridiculous also. Thats really the only thing that lets the presentation down for me.
Initial impressions and feedback.
Demo is really solid, i like Evoswing, quite intuitive with good challenge and reasonable learning curve. Sound is great, commentary solid enough. Ball physics seem to have noticeably improved, the roll seems to be more lifelike and initial bounce on hard ground is an improvement, perhaps very slightly too bouncy but hugely nit picking.

Im using a pretty high end pc (4090 etc) and its quite disappointing to see an outdated DLSS and FSR still being used, presentation is soft even at 4K, no option for DLAA which i think would work great here. Really hope to see this being improved for release but perhaps unrealistic in the remaining time frame.

Only other issue i have is the power meter being moved to the right lower corner along with swing mechanics... while it works quite well it naturally takes the players eye away from the action, so you do not really focus on your characters swing and ball contact, it just seems... off.

Thanks for the demo, i will be buying the game based on this showing.

seems to be a buggy mess, at least for me so far. controller keeps locking up(?) and I have to restart the game to use my controller, seems to be triggered by MyPlayer creation?
Then it locks up when you try to exit the game, bodes well for a product that is due to release in 17 days.

just from the small intro before getting into it...and before the controller promptly stopped working...driving feels better but putting feels absolutely awful now...nice...

Game looks better I guess than 2k23 🤷‍♀️
Demo
I've just downloaded the demo and played the back 9 on TPC Scottsdale, using mouse swing, archetype magician.

I shot 8 under par.....admittedly there was no wind but I found the new swing really easy on the setting it provided.
It was also a lot easier to hit under strength shots with the new meter.

Seems pretty decent and runs ok, although I can't notice much of a graphic upgrade from 2K23.....

Runs amazing on my rx6700xt. so far its great
Just played the demo and was very impressed. Played on Ultra at 2560 x 1600 and was getting over 200 fps, so toned it down a bit in the settings. Looks gorgeous and plays very smoothly. Looking forward to the full game.

same exact issues here, but the physics seem impressive when the game works
I'm impressed with it as well. It has full super ulrawide support, graphics look great (better than 2K23) and the gameplay feels solid along with better sound.

You're using 21:9? 2K23 had the shot stype/info locked at 16:9 on the screen, for 2K25 is it actually to the side? Yes I know I could download the demo and look for myself but I'll be too tempted to play and I feel it'll throw off my 2k23 swing lol. I play on Legend with all helpers turned off except green grid so if fear if I start playing this demo its gonna throw my '23 swing off.
I only played PGA Tour 2K21 back in the day (tempted to buy 2K23 as its on sale). But have to say that this 2K25 demo runs sublime. Even on my older i7 8700k with RTX 3070 its rock solid. Doubt I'll buy the game on release as its way too expensive for my liking, will wait for a -33% / 50% off sale down the line.
Does not run.
Hangs on a blank screen every time sigh.

Plays great on my 4070 Legion Laptop, using PS4 Controller. It is snappier than 2K23, see that holds through with the full version (Legends).
i like the demo so far, have a pretty old setup and it runs really good
