Chipping short distances is the same...you have a small backswing and the downswing is SO quick it looks unrealistic...this was the same in 21 version
It seems pretty easy, I'll also say not much backspin on short shots, when you pitch the ball always rolls on. Not sure if this is because I haven't increased my players attributes yet. Perhaps it's different if I play tiger.
Not enough licenses players to keep me interested.
No Augusta, I know why but thats why I always go back to EA...although this has issues also.
Graphics wise this runs great on my machine at 2K resolution, much better than EA.
Game is ok but not enough to keep me hooked or but new at full price.
No idea whether the commentator/s use them or not in the full game as the demo only seems to have one commentator. In my experience that is usually the case in the tutorials though and the full game usually features others. I'll take a pass thanks and wait until you shut down the 23 servers. I'm not really into multiplayer so the commentary always kept the game more entertaining for me with their back and forth.
Obviously you just wouldn't get that with just one solitary commentator.
Thanks.
The single commentator thing is because the demo only includes quick play. In career mode you will get a full commentary team. It was the same in 21 and 23.
I know millions of Madden players who would like to have a word with you. ;)
I have so much more fun when I turn off off-axis and use normal up/down but still on legend difficulty with the rest. I can easily look at the golfers swing and still hit the nice shots and I feel like I am actually playing a videogame which this is that has flow to it instead of just staring at my controller nervously wondering if I am gonna miss because the controller is not exactly in the right angle. The controller are also shaped in a certain way to be held in that way and this current swingsystem forces you to hold your controller in uncomfortable ways because there is no way you will be consistent with this new swing if you don't modify your grip or play double thumb etc.
I notice I can get way more consistent with two thumbs technique but oh man it was boring to play like that, I rather not buy the game and play like that since it was not enjoyable. Seriously 2k do better here, and to know it's forced in ranked is just urgh. All it leads to is people exploiting things, tampering with the controller, use rubber bands, lock the stick so it can't move any other direction when playing golf and so on, could probably easily 3D print a small plastic part that lock the stick from 7 o'clock to 1 o'clock. So all it does is ruin the game for us that want to play it normally on a controller without all the modifications. Plus if you modify what's the point, you're not playing any harder sim version anyway, you're just fooling yourself setting up the controller in a way where it becomes easy and you tell yourself you're great, what a joke. Might as well just have an easy swing to begin with, where you at least can enjoy watching the game, play the game, look at the golfer etc while playing.
They made it diagonal to remove cheaters using some plastic helpers like this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/156382101460
But you can still think of a way to make your analog stick move only in 1 direction back and forth + add rotation for fade/draw.
The only way to play competitive is to use 3click ;)
You are the stubborn one if you think people holding their controllers in their lap or table playing with 4 finger grips or tilting your controller is a good thing.
I would say people like you is the reason gaming just gets worse and worse and why so few people are attracted to play these games. I gave up on 2k23, highly inconsistent timing that never could be learnt, at least not with my controller. There is only so much you will take until you move on.
You're also missing the point, people will not learn this swing like you think, they will find ways to make it easier for themselves to win and it's not hard to create something to fix your controller diagonally, I would say 4 matchsticks and super glue would do the trick. So stop pretending everyone will sit here like fools with their controllers on the table playing in a boring way to get this swing right because I am not interested in playing like that at all personally when I have a nice controller ergonomically shaped for my hands holding it normally.
Can you show undeniable concrete proof that 2K25 is a cash grab? I bet that you can't. Plus if it was a cash grab, why wasn't there a 2K24?
this, 10% at MINIMUM, 20% if you own both 21 and 23. Game is so expensive for a bi-yearly title.
