Domed shaped greens made of polished glass on the other hand...
Players who know and love the franchise, get it every year and want every advantage (like a weeks head start) they can get and are prepared to pay an extra $30 for that.
I suspect next Friday we will see a lot more players struggle with the game.
Not saying that is exclusive or anything. But I bet that's the bias of players.
Most of the best players. Those who put in hundreds upon hundreds of hours a year into this game since it was "The Golf Club" will have been in this early access.
The real acid test will be next weekend when (I suspect) a much higher percentage of casuals and new players get the game.
My game was actually bugged and I was stuck playing on extra easy despite being set to Masters, I tried an online quickplay match and it's completely different. This game is genuinely harder than actual golf, which is insane lol
I've been playing HB golf games since the first one. They are all in my Steam Library. And I am still MUCH better at real golf than I am at this game... and I'm not very good at real golf.
:)
Yeah playing this on hard seems extremely unrealistic, hitting a 300+ yard drive as an average golfer is extremely easy. Hitting one as a pro is just second nature. This game punishes even the slightest bit of mis-alignment with HUGE slices.
So I change my previous position. There is ZERO percent chance anyone is hitting a -20 in this game on this level. There must be a way to bug the game so it plays on super easy online as well, just like it did for me in career mode.
this is over 4 rounds.....
Either way he shot 48 under in 3 rounds on today's video
My last round on Pro... 35 over and that included 2 abandoned holes (which I think happens automatically after the 10th shot or something like that)
With A.I. cooking up homebrewed cheating apps is extremely simple. If someone knew what they were doing it would take them maybe a day to have something up and running, even with putting etc. There's 100% cheating going on and it will likely be ignored because it seems like this one is designed as a money grab more than a golf sim. I bet when it goes into full release the store is flooded with OP items etc.
lol...
You're saying top players shoot entire rounds of nothing but birdie/eagles at max difficulty?
Once again, that would require them to birdie/eagle EVERY SINGLE HOLE, in the older PGA games where driving didn't require a scalpel I could see it being possible. Now the hit boxes for long drives are microscopic, I don't understand why the devs made driving so difficult as it's literally the easiest part of golfing, but here we are.
