I agree mate cheating always baffles me in any game, like what does anyone gain from it you have to be one very insecure, sad individual.
this is in the ranked tournaments, any of the difficulties, im sorry, a -20+ is NEVER going to happen in the master/legendary difficulties. i dont care how "good" you think are, its NOT possible!!
I played a PGA tour, category OPEN 4x18, difficulty Pro-Am.
My scores was from -8 to -12, maybe I could have scored -14 with fully upgraded clubs and golfer and a bit of luck. But the top scores are -70 which is more than -17 every day, 4 rounds in a row. That's just insane!! I would like to see a video or a stream of this play, because it just looks physicly impossible.
You missed the point. By playing PGA tours (as opposed to playing MyCareer or QuickMatch) the goal is to classify yourself how good you are in compare to others. I don't need to win or gain anything.... just need to see for instance with 1000 players - am I top50? top100? or just totally at the bottom? And then try to find and adjust, eliminate weak links etc.
But if the leaderboards are full of anomalies, what can you take from it? Just pointless to play if there are indeed cheaters.
Fair point, my bad. I just happen to not really care about such things.
I understand there are ways to make sure the controller stick or mouse goes in a straight line so they get perfect shots every time, but what about putting? Getting a straight shot wont help if the green is sloped some way. How do they cheat that way? There must be a way, but how?
I have no intention to cheat as it is pointless. Cheating in single player games is fine, as I have done in the past with other games to get past certain areas that would otherwise make me give up on the game, but that isn't hurting anyone. Cheating online against other players, that is just wrong, and that is hurting people
I have tried to play online against other people in every game in this franchise but I am rubbish and always end up in the bottom 50 but seeing people at the top getting -20+ makes it pointless to try and improve your scores online if you are playing against cheaters.
Basically playing this game online seems to be for cheaters only, competing on who can cheat the best
Did minus 18. He was very disappointed.
He tried again and got minus 22. All recorded.
Playing at LEGEND difficulty.

The issue is that those that are in the top few hundred players (of a game that sells well over a million copies across all versions) are SOOOOOOOO much better than everyone else it's comical.
In 2K23 the same few dozen names win the ranked weekly tournaments week after week. The chances of breaking into that elite are minimal unless you "no life" the game.
They need to have a handicap system for those who can't handle the Pro level. My best Pro round is still 17 over par. Now with over 40 hours played.
But to play online - Pro is what you need to be good at, or there is no point.
I watch another Youtuber "Gamer Ability" who has played these games since it was "The Golf Club" plays for hundreds of hours every year and he failed to get into the top 50 of the Q-School in year one and only just made the top 50 to qualify for his amateur card in year two.
Both these guys have a lot more time to devote to a game than I ever will. And even then one of those can barely make the amateur Q tour when playing on Pro difficulty.
The other gets upset when he doesn't score at least 20 under par in Legend difficulty.
My concern is that the game has been made for the loud 0.1% of players who want it tougher and harder every year,
Because they really are that good.
But if you spend 2,000 hours on the same game every year. or are just unnaturally dexterous with the controller.. you probably will be.
The risk is it shuts the doors on 99.9% of players for whom online play becomes a complete waste of time.
I didn't realize this game was that hard for other people. I bumped it to Master and will probably go to Legend, but on Master getting -20 is extremely easy, to the point where I usually go out of my way to try fun shots just to get a few bogey's.
I should try the online then, I might be really good at this and not have realize it lol
I feel like this can't be right...the one thing I notice is even on Master my game's weather is still really nice, so maybe something is going on there, but in clear weather is it still hard to get -20?
