Every Shot going instantly right
No idea what's going on but every single shot is going instantly right and I have zero idea why. Anyone got any ideas ? Timing etc is perfect but still the shot's go instantly right.

Agree. A good controller makes a difference.

I am more worried about this game getting too easy than the initial challenge of the change in swing mechanics

They want to play ranked and feel obliterated with that mechanic.

Ohhh with ranked you can't use the old Straight swing setting in the game? You're forced to play with the slanted swing? Cause in normal rounds and career you can use the Straight swing.

I'm on PC and was doing terrible with Xbox Elite controller wired to the PC I bought a GameSir G7 HE set the polling to 1000hz. It's huge difference. I'm still terrible but a lot less terrible than before.

thats the point here, hitting on the line and ball goes anywhere it wants. master and legendary are just about IMPOSSIBLE right now more so on legendary.

You have to understand the meaning of legendary difficulty, if you could just go in and hit perfects it would be called easy. Which is the reason there is perfect swing setting (easy) and everything inbetween. So start at Amateur or PRO if you want the swing bias but still a bit more forgiving than Legend.

It's dumb to go into a new game, put it to legend and get upset that it's hard. I hope you see my point here. It's like driving an F1 car before you even driven a normal car. Not everyone is a legendary player yet, it will take time and that's the point so you can grow with the game, improve over time and not get bored after 1 week.

So forget about legend, put it to Pro/Am and enjoy the game, when you have the hang of that go to pro and so on. You can always have the swing bias off if that annoys you and the swing will be a normal forgiving down/up motion. Just remember that ranked online does not allow anything else than pro setting with swing bias ON so you might as well set your game to Pro if you're intention is to play online.

I personally don't think it is purely because of them changing the fact you cant go up and down on stick for straight shot's the only reason i can think of doing it is to deter people cheating. Anyways just my opinion. I have PS5 controllers, Xbox Controllers. I know what the gamesir is yeh looks decent but not buying a new controller purely for this due to there choice to make the inputs silly.

Online is Pro though apparently so don't really want to play below that as it would be pointless.

Go practice and stick with it. I was a 3 clicker in 2k23 but here i switched completely to swing stick and i'm loving it. Playing for 15 hours now random duo ranked matches. So much fun mate.
For those of you who think it's too easy now, just switch difficulty to PRO. Me as 3clicker say it's harder now, and courses are aslo harder.

For those who think it's too hard... you just need to grind your golfer and clubs. Your stats for swing path / contact is probably around 60? You need to get it to 95 or something to make a sweet spot wide enough to hit it almost every time. After that the only difficulty will be to calculate your shot taking into account lie, wind elevation and so on.

Now I see a lot of swingers complaining about angle bias - Yeah this was needed to remove cheaters from the game that would modify the stick to move only in Y axis. You could even buy some plastic addons for pads that would make your swing easy. You could switch to 3click but then you can't play ranked, I would blame devs for this and this only.
Yeah 20 hours of swing stick. I'm as bad in the 21st hour as I was in the 1st.
I know younger people. Maybe people who use controllers for other games (i use mouse and keyboard for all other game types except golf) might adapt their muscle memory over time. But mine has atrophied. Almost 60 years old and I've come to realise in the last day of effort and frustration that I'm never going to get the hang of this new system. It's so counter intuitive for me

Hold the left trigger and adjust your ball contact and swing path. You can still make every shot be a straight "up and down" motion on your controller while using Pro mode or higher and swing bias (draw/fade).

By the way, depending on which controller stick you use for your swing:

Right Stick - Set bias to Draw
Left Stick - Set bias to Fade

You are not supposed to hit up and down anymore. On pro and above you have a draw or fade bias and you change which one in your character profile. You that is using left hand I would use a fade. That way you will swing naturally from down/right to up/left

Thanks appreciate that.
You can turn that off in the difficulty settings.
