Gamepad mappings

The mapping for the gamepad seem counter intuitive. Like putting spin...left bumper and then left joystick? I think you can remap buttons using a steam controller but my problem if finding out what exactly is the mappings now. Telling me the left joystick is the left joystick doesn't help. How would someone get the "keyboard" mappings? I like the buttons to be top button scout cam...left and right buttons for club up and down and bottom button for shot type. Any help?
