PGA TOUR 2K25

EA's PGA or this one?
I've been playing EA's PGA Tour for the last year and I love it. It has some deficiencies but I love to play it.
How do you think it compares with 2K25? I want to like it and I will buy it but from the demo I find it a bit more like a computer game in terms of graphics and immersion.
In which ways is it better?

I'm with you, I'll take EA's PGA Tour over what I've seen so far on the 2k25. I think there is something in the swing mechanics that feels so much better with EA.

I would say 2k25 is more simulation vs EA which is more arcade style. Depends what you want to get out of the game.

There is nothing sim with this new weird diagonal swing system. Not sure why they keep crippling the joy of swinging just to make it harder. Any form of swing that demands you to lean your controller, look at the meter or the controller or build your own contraptions to swing better instead of looking at your golfer and the game itself have failed miserably.

First the fast, slow dumb system that never had consistency and now this diagonal crap. Sick of looking down at my controller to see if I am holding it correct or staring at the powerbar which is now not even close to the golfer but a circle out on the right totally disconnected from the golfer.

I've played over 200 hours of EA's PGA Tour and like it a lot. The biggest selling point for me is having the Masters, the Open and the Rider Cup in it.

But, I will get this one too, after having played the demo for a while. First I thought I wouldn't because I didn't like the graphics. But once you crank up the resolution to 200% on top of max settings, it looks pretty ok (RTX 4090). Main selling point for me tho is the brilliant course designer and the community made (fantasy) courses, a feature I already loved in The Golf Club in 2018.

Difficulty and swing mechanics are adjustable in both version to a degree, that it feels enjoyable for me personally but as always, opinions may vary.

EA Huge let down. Pure RNG hitting, big black circle that ball can land. even if you hit perfects the ball just goes where it wants. To many hackers people shooting -30 on 9 hole challenges lol. the game was dead out of the water. i put 40hrs into it. then abandoned it. i kept coming back after all the patches to check if it was fixed nope still garbage. Yes very pretty game but dull game play ruined it for me.

Since EA never even had mouse support, fully this.
2k better in every way for serious gamers....I warned that EA's game was for arcade, controller players right from the get go but was hammered that I didn't know what I was talking about....I did and they learned I did after buying game and leaving it....there was nothing wrong with that except if you thought it was going to be 2k but better graphics.

For sitting on couch with controller on TV EA probably fun game but this one is much more in depth for gamers...end of story.

I be leave EA and 2K 25 are toe to toe butt 2Ks course creator puts it over the top. IMHO

If you're a casual player then get EA's game, it's so easy that my 86 year old grandmother can play on its "Sim", level.

Check steamcharts. EA PGA is a dead game.

I like EA, on sim mode it is very good. 2k more arcade style game less sim and also 2k loves micro transactions where EA for PGA doesnt have them. EA better graphics and has Augusta National. When it is on sale it is a good buy

You can gauge power but how far your golfer have pulled the club back you know? the true shot is much more sim as you can play a fade or draw and it feel different in your motion as it does in real life. If you play on the higher difficulties you dont see the circle on the right and the game is obviously playable without it.
