Loud gold block?

I was playing on Troublesome tech and right before i died what looked like a gold block fell down onto a TNT block and exploded and made a loud sound. But right before i closed the game something unlocked and i can't figure out what it was.

I just encountered this after reading your post. When you destroy the gold block, it unlocks the special challenge for that stage. Then, going to challenges, when you beat the special, you get the "<stage> hero" achievement.

I guess i must have closed the game too quick because i don't see any "special" challenges, nor do i see any "<stage> hero" achievements that i can get.

Oh i just read about the super secret update thing. This is some damn fine news, I started playing again just to beat Bob and play around a bit. I thought i was going crazy because i didn't remember the glitch level from the last time i played. Thanks for the help

Seriously ive been trying to get the golden block for Torublesome Tech for a while and it just WONT show up. I wonder if there is anything I need to do first...

I don't know what causes it to spawn i only had around 10k when it dropped for me, so i don't believe its score.

I believe you have to be at max level in order to trigger the gold blocks, but the time at which they will fall is random.

Is said time reset or something if you go back below 4? Because I tend to get crushed back to lvl 3 quite frequently....

I don't know that it would matter if it resets if its random, just try to get to 4 fast and keep geting it back if you lose it.

Yeah, I was curious what makes them spawn too. It must be level 4 'cause time and score don't seem to matter. Those are all I have left to 100% (or 120% as the case may be) the game. D:

I seriously cant get ANY gold blocks to spawn. Seriously ive tried to get a SINGLE gold block for over 2 hours (not in the same run, but all runs added up) and gotten nothing. Im pretty sure they could deal with an increase to the spawn chace as they are literaly the only thing I have left to unlock in the game...

I've found that you need to stay consistently at level 4, and I've never had one spawn before 10k. What scores have you been getting?

Pretty much around 7k~10k, sometimes more. I DO however lose my level 4 quite frequently, even though I imediately go back to it after 1 coin....
